AMS Iodine plus +
Iodine is naturally present in seawater at approximately 0.06ppm and is an essential element for growth of invertebrates and corals.
AMS Iodine plus + is reconstituted from reagent grade Lugol’s solution. Lugol’s is a highly concentrated iodine/iodide solution. It is an extremely powerful solution and should only be used by experienced aquarist.
Guideline for use in aquarium
5 drops of AMS Iodine plus + will raise the iodine concentration in 1L of water by 12ppm. Always check iodine concentration in aquarium before use.
Guideline for use as a coral dip
Add 8 drops of AMS Iodine plus + in 1L of aquarium water in a separate holding tank. Submerge coral in the solution for 10 to 12 mins (set a timer!). Rinse coral with aquarium water before placing it back into the aquarium or quarantine tank.
